Kush strains have, so far, been hard to come by in the medical Green Scene.  . . until now!  Enter the V Kush.  V as in VERY Kush-y, or maybe V as in Roman numeral 5, or just for the plain letter V.  A mystery sure to confound the most adept linguist.  Either way, this is a Kush strain that ticks all the boxes:  introspective headiness, interdimensional body traveling, and a heavy lidded departure.

One of the more impressive features of V Kush is its ability to expand in volume, while still maintaining potency.  This is the type of bud that ancient miracle workers would have used to impress the masses by turning one nug into five killer joints.  Sitting at 0.5% THC and with the all mighty Kush genetics, V Kush is potent enough to stone most any user.

The headiness of this strain was surprising to me.  Within moments of consumption, an exciting, yet forgetful, stoniness sets in.  The headiness continues to build and is complimented with slow’d-n-thow’d body feels.  The V Kush experience fades as your eye lids get really heavy, without tiredness, and the munchies arrive.  You are now unwound.

Certain patients use V Kush for both body and mind treatment.  Relief from chronic pain, arthritis, and headaches are reported after consumption, perhaps due to the CBG and CBN content.  Those looking for a new lens to view the world through have found it, as V Kush also carries introspective and reflective qualities, making this a top notch strain for musical consumption.

The buds have a gray-green appearance due to the trichome richness filling in the various seams, spaces, and corners on the triangular buds.  The shape brings to mind the Strawberry Cookies lineage.  Breaking off in little pistil chunks, the buds grind up nice and fresh.  The trim job on the bud was done well and the amount of stem was as minimal as possible.

The funk we’ve been waiting for has returned!  V Kush has a lovely take on the traditional skunky-kush-nose: skunk up front, tender spruce in the back.  The flavor leans more toward skunk on the front end as well, with the spruce notes coming through later.  The inhale can get a little hot with V Kush.

Now that Tryke has kush on the menu, the real question for their growers is:  when we will see some Khalifa Kush flower in Utah?
