As you scroll through your favorite social media source, you can’t miss the many memes poking fun at the sommelier-like nuance that we who enjoy cannabis use to describe the funky plant. Not to add to the stereotype, but this cheeba carries notes of cheese with a touch of amphibian enclosure. Continuing the funk fest, the inhale is sour; yet smooth… Meme away.
Mean Green is known for Sativa ranging affects and rightly so. Expect an upstairs experience the whole way through. Patients that are looking for medicine that can be used during the day without getting too stoney after should consider this strain. Some Sativas can be overstimulating, not so for me with Mean Green. No mental molehills transforming into mountains here. The affects didn’t last as long as I would have liked, but the hour or so duration was a convenient time frame to work with.
By no means is Mean Green the strongest Sativa we have seen in Utah’s Green Scene, but it could be a contender for the most approachable. Despite the name, the affects are quite kind. It is an uplifting strain that suites most (safe) activities I can think of. Enhancing is one verb, focusing another. One thing I will forever be in debt to Mean Green for: the small push I needed to throw some pretzels in my Crunchy Caramel Cone ice cream.
Various patients have reported medicating with Mean Green to help with lack of motivation, creativity, mild-anxiety and depression. The CBC at play here perhaps? Seeing 4 cannabinoids listed as more than 0.25% is a great sight. It is also interesting to consider that this strain, which happens to be a “historic” Amsterdam strain from the late 90’s, contains such a nice mix of cannabinoids. Perhaps the cannabis genetics with future solutions will come from the slightly wilder past?
The bright green buds are tightly structured, though still springy, not glued. Once ground up the sensi-slaw somehow has flakes of violet despite such color being absent on the exterior intact flower. A couple of the buds looks slightly compressed, perhaps from storage in the bag. Though counting the number of nugs in the bag escaped me, I didn’t find the number unnerving, for what it’s worth.
Pinching a serving is a little messy, the buds are expansive, fresh and clingy. This is one advantage to the sealed bag: that the freshness of the flower does seem to be extended.
